Please join us for a special webinar hosted by Rachel Sheinbein, Co Founder and Director of Makeda Capital.  Makeda is investing in public companies with female CEOs. Rachel is also an active angel investor in companies such as Goldieblox, Social Imprints and PV Evolution Labs (recently acquired).   Before starting Makeda, Rachel was a Partner at CMEA Capital, a private equity firm with over $1.2 billion under management. She was formerly a board member for Arcadia Biosciences and Solaria.  

 

Before CMEA, Ms. Sheinbein was a consultant for start-ups in the areas of bio-plastics, solar and water. For nine years prior, Ms. Sheinbein worked at Intel, in wastewater systems, environmental health & safety, and supply chain IT. Rachel is the President of the board of Expanding Your Horizons Network, a non-profit that encourages girls in math, science, engineering and technology. In addition, Ms. Sheinbein is on the board of the Hadassah Foundation. Ms. Sheinbein holds a Chemical Engineering degree with a concentration in Environmental Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She was also a sponsored fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where she received an MBA and a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on operations and supply chain.
